Mojave Model Railroad Conferences & Events

What's Happening...

As I continue to give back to the community and we slowly get over COVID and return to normal more and more conferences will be returning. If you have a conference or event either locally or nationally please feel free to reach out to me so I can get it posted on my site.

As I would love to attend every one of them my schedule at this time doesn’t allow it but for those few events I will be attending in person please check back on the events, days and times I’ll be appearing. And PLEASE, if I am an event don’t ever be afraid to come over and say hi, chat or even take a picture. Plus if you have a business card I want it…no I’m not performing any voodoo on the card (although keep in mind I know how to), I just like to connect with people worldwide who also love this hobby.

The Bristlecone Bricks and Train Show is coming to Ely, as the first of many annual shows to come. As a a community event you are invited to view displays from fans of LEGO bricks and Model Railroad Groups, built by individuals and clubs. Hundreds of square feet of model railroad displays and complementary layouts containing thousands of LEGO bricks, will amaze you and your children.

The event will be held at one of the most historic, scenic and interesting venues possible: the Northern Nevada Railway Museum. Situated in the middle of the century-old Nevada Northern Railway's working railyard, you will hear and see the vintage steam and diesel locomotives pulling their loaded cars, as they pass within feet of the displays. Explore the machinist shop, train barn and museum offices, just a short stroll from the show. Come play and display with us.

Bring the family. Ride the rails at the Nevada Northern Railway. Hear the ghost stories and memories of the wild west. Explore all the beauty, excitement, wide open spaces and history of the Great Basin's untrammeled wilderness.

Show admission is free! Riding the train, and other activates listed are not part of the Bristlecone Bricks and Train show and may charge fees. They are listed to help you create a full, fun itinerary for the day or weekend.

When: Saturday June 25th, 4 PM to 8 PM and Sunday June 26th, 10 am to 8 pm.
